You may have sailed through undergrad.

(Or at least worked hard & figured out how to make the system work for you.)

After all, if you’re getting a graduate degree, you’re probably pretty good at school.

But grad school isn’t as forgiving as undergrad.

You have to build your own accountability, structure, and community.

You might have to beat imposter syndrome, too.

If you’re not cultivating sustainable habits
for success, burnout is hard to avoid.

Fortunately, the same drive that got you where you are today
will get you through grad school.

You just need the tools to get there.

As a professor and PhD, I’ve devoted my career to academia.
Now, I’m devoting my knowledge to you.

Your success in grad school can help define your success the rest of your career…

So let’s make it count.

I’m a math professor who’s also obsessed with productivity, time management, and mindset.

I’ve helped thousands of students level up their skills as they work toward completing their programs—on time.

I’ll help you …

✔️ Create your own structure & accountability systems as you adapt to the graduate student mindset

✔️ Unlock productivity, focus, & time management skills to serve you in school and throughout your career

✔️ Break the procrastination-burnout cycle while addressing imposter syndrome & overwhelm

Don’t live in a holding pattern.

Build a life for yourself in grad school.

Burnout, stress, & isolation are commonly reported by graduate students.
But that doesn’t mean you have to experience them.

I’ll help you make the most of your grad school years.

Here’s how:

habits

Fine-tune your productivity HABITS for research.

The beauty of good academic habits is that once you’ve built them, they’re a lot easier to keep up. In my newsletter, membership, YouTubes, and workshops, I teach you how to unlock the parts of your mind that are ready and waiting to complete your work—they just need some scaffolding to get moving.

framework

Build a FRAMEWORK for all-around success.

When you have a million items on your academic to-do list, it’s easy to neglect the overarching mindset and life skillsthat make coursework, research, and time management easier. I’ll give you practical tools and advice on project management and organization, so you can thrive in all other areas while you devote your main-character energy to academia.

community

Form a COMMUNITY.

Navigating the culture and norms of grad school can feel lonely—even when you’re part of a cohort, you may be a TA or GA, and you still have family & friends. I help you set expectations and boundaries for yourself while also providing a community inside my membership, the #GRADBOSS Learning Community.

expert workshop

Google Calendar for Grad Students

Expires November 30, 2024

We all want to stay organized and productive in graduate school. But how do you set up your organization so you can make informed choices about where your time is going?

In this workshop, grad student C. Ren Morton will share an organizational method to help you initiate quality improvement projects on your work processes.

We will explore the following:

  • Create a color legend for your Google calendar. Creating a color legend helps you track your time on tasks and can map onto your email.

  • Discuss backend integrations that help your Google Drive, Zotero, and Notion software seamlessly talk to each other.

  • How to map your Google email onto your Outlook email to keep your personal and professional boundaries and prevent double-booking yourself.

With these three strategies, you will be able to set yourself up to increase time on your favorite activities and reduce time on your least favorites, maximizing enjoyment in your graduate school experience.

C. Ren Morton, third-year graduate student at Syracuse University studying Feminist Theory and striving toward a Social Science PhD with a focus on Welfare State Theory, Work-Family Studies, and Motherhood Ontologies.
